Colleagues, please take the time to assist with this MacArthur Foundation-funded survey out of NC State. The purpose of this research study is to survey pretrial actors (e.g., judges, prosecutors, pretrial services staff) to understand the decisions they make about releasing versus detaining a person who is awaiting trial. If you agree to participate in this study, we will ask that you read a brief case description and answer series of questions. In total, the study should take about 15 minutes. All responses are anonymous and confidential.

Eligibility: You are eligible to participate in this study if you are at least 18 years of age, reside in the United States, and be currently or formerly employed in a position working with pretrial cases (e.g., lawyer, magistrate, judge, pretrial services).
