Our Child Abuse Prosecution Project has released “THE DIGITAL WORLD: The Role of Digital Information in the Investigation & Prosecution of 21st Century Crime”. This monograph discusses some of the different types of digital technology currently available and describes how information spawned by that technology may be relevant to an investigation or admissible at trial. It also explains some of the different digital artifacts types that investigators may recover from digital devices , highlights several of the available resources to explain the technology in greater detail, and clarifies the steps necessary to secure digital evidence and data in the cloud.
