During this session, Professor Meg Garvin will provide an overview of victims’ rights laws, identifying key moments of risk to these rights in light of COVID-19. Special attention will be paid to how to effectively work with crime victims in the face of the ever-increasing use of technology by courts, and how to protect victim privacy during this time. Meg Garvin, M.A., JD, is the Executive Director of the National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI) and a Clinical Professor of Law at Lewis & Clark Law School. Professor Garvin is recognized as a leading expert on victims’ rights.
