Please join us on Thursday August 20 at 3 PM EDT for Animal Cruelty Investigations in the Digital Age. Prosecutors and law enforcement agencies have a growing understanding that the overwhelming use of technology has infiltrated all of the crimes we investigate and prosecute. Animal Cruelty is no exception. This training with the use of actual case examples will address model practices of gathering both physical and digital evidence in cases that involve hoarding (animal collection), animal mistreatment and torture, as well as animal neglect and abandonment. After this training, attendees will recognize that the use of digital evidence will be an effective tool in not only building a case, but also effective in dismantling any potential defenses raised at trial. Attendees will also recognize that successful animal cruelty prosecution can be integral in the prosecution of victim-related crimes as well as crimes involving drug and gang related violence.
