The presenters will discuss exotic animal laws and why many jurisdictions ban ownership of certain exotic animals. You’ll learn about the importance and mission of wildlife sanctuaries, and about working with a sanctuary in prosecuting exotic animal cases. You’ll also learn about emerging exotic animal issues and current limitations in the law. The presenters will cover how exotics are intertwined with other crimes. You’ll learn tips that will help you in prosecuting exotic animal cases, including how to spot an illegitimate sanctuary or illegal exotic animal pet trade.
