Capital and Homicide Prosecutors: Please Take this Survey

The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, alongside research partners at the Research Triangle Institute, and with support from Grant No. 15PBJA-22-GK-03018-CAPL awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance*, are pleased to launch our nationwide Capital Case/Complex Homicide Training Needs Assessment Survey.

This survey focuses on training and resource needs, as well as current training strategies used within your office. Results will be used by APA to develop trainings to meet the needs of prosecutors’ offices.

This survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

This survey is intended to be taken by capital and complex homicide prosecutors, team or unit leaders, or elected/appointed prosecutors with knowledge about capital/complex homicide prosecution practices within their offices. The results of this survey will be shared with participants and will be used to inform programming, such as conference and webinar training curricula, site visits, fact sheets and white papers, and other general and tailored technical assistance throughout the life of this grant.

If you would like to preview the questions before starting the survey, please email sasha.beatty@apainc.org for a PDF printout version.

The deadline to complete this survey is August 18, 2023 at close of business.

We are sincerely thankful for your time and efforts on this survey. This survey will greatly assist us in providing prosecutors with superior training and technical assistance for capital and complex homicide units around the country, including yours.
