Animal Welfare Listserv:
APA's Animal Welfare listserv was created to provide a National Technical Assistance Network in the area of animal cruelty and fighting prosecution and problem solving for animal welfare issues. The Listserv allows you to connect with other prosecutors and professionals in the criminal justice and animal welfare fields. The Animal Welfare Listserv provides a forum and exchange for ideas relating to animal rights and protection advocacy and animal cruelty and fighting prosecution efforts.
New subscribers should send an email with their name, e-mail address, the organization they are with and contact information to David.LaBahn@apainc.org with the message "Animal Welfare Listserv" in the subject line of the email.
Additional Resources:
I. State Criminal Animal Protection Laws
II. Animal Welfare Programs, Manuals, and Information
APA has compiled manuals, articles and reports on animal abuse and related issues such as domestic violence and child abuse. Manuals for programs from our partners that relate to animal welfare and its relationship to other types of abuse are also included.
III. Animal Welfare Institute

Since its founding in 1951 AWI has sought to reduce the sum total of pain and fear inflicted on animals by people. In the organization's early years our particular emphasis was on the desperate needs of animals used for experimentation. In the decades that followed we expanded the scope of our work to address many other areas of animal suffering.
IV. Humane Society of the United States

The HSUS has a long history of collaborating with and training prosecutors around the country in achieving effective results in animal cruelty cases. We are pleased to be working with APA on training prosecutors. Please browse our prosecutor resource page to find information on prosecuting animal cruelty cases and other resources we can provide. You can also join a google group for prosecutors who handle animal cruelty cases.
