Community Prosecution & Violent Crime Division

In order to help prosecutors implement the Key Principles of Community Prosecution, the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys provides a number of resources and services through their Community Prosecution Division.

Community Prosecution

Victims of Crime Division

Law enforcement, prosecutors and academia are now beginning to understand the connection between violent crime and other forms of abuse. By focusing on these other forms of violence and their victims, prosecutors and their allied criminal justice partners can help reduce and prevent violent crime within our communities.  The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys focuses on these precursor forms of violence in order to reduce future family violence and violent crime.

Animal Cruelty and Animal Fighting

National Security and Policy Division

The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) is committed to the promotion and development of strategies that enhance the safety and security of the country. APA's National Security and Policy Division is dedicated to improving effective prosecutorial strategies aimed at terrorism, narcotics trafficking, illegal guns, organized crime and other areas of national concern.
