APA's first Final Fridays webinar training series for 2012 is an overview of "The High Performance Prosecution Model" and will be led by Steven Jansen, APA's Vice-President and COO, and Robert Hood, APA's Community Prosecution and Violent Crime Division Director. This webinar is a follow up to APA's most recent publication, Prosecutor's Report III: A Framework for High Performance Prosecutorial Services
. A brief overview of the framework and the components of the high performance prosecution model will be explained. Data Integration and Information Sharing in the Criminal Justice System

Please join us for this March's Final Fridays webinar on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 3-4 p.m. EST, "Data Integration for the High Performance Prosecutor," presented with the assistance of SEARCH, the National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics. Mark Perbix, Director of Information Sharing Programs at SEARCH, will present. Attendees will learn why information sharing in the criminal justice system is important, what the prosecutor's role in information sharing should be, what the national standards for information and data sharing are, and how a high performing office can begin to increase its information sharing capabilities.

David O'Keefe, Chief of the Crime Strategies Unit of the New York County District Attorney's Office in Manhattan, will present on Share Point and Arrest Alert, two tools that his office developed using "information technologies, such as email, crime mapping, and data integration and analysis, to facilitate intelligence driven prosecution and improve public safety." This webinar is a great opportunity to learn more about the interface between two of the components of the High Performance Prosecution Model, Harnessing Science and Technology and Implementing Data Sharing, and should be of interest not only to prosecutors and their other allied law enforcement partners, but also their information technology staffs.
